The Skarzs

Argunath sat silently, knowing he was being watched by at least one creature. Folding his paws, he too waited in silence.

OOC: Hey Corny, could you address Aggril? I can't really do anything with Yassen before him and Bryony talk.  :P
They told me I was gullible. I believed them.

OOC: Sorry! I'm juggling WAAAY too many charries.

BIC: Bryony thought for a moment, then said, "No. No going to the vermin camp; For one, it's too risky. And two: Why on earth would he want to take us there? So, here's what I say: I escort him to the Abbey, and come back in plenty of time for us to actually get somewhere today. Now, don't say anything; Yes, he can climb a tree, but no beast can out do a squirrel in a tree, especially a squirrel who's flexible and has lived in the woods her whole life."

The Skarzs

Aggril frowned. "We'll continue on until night; if you don't catch up by then, we'll wait until morning. I know you can handle yourself, but. . . bring the cat to the abbey? To Redwall?" He shook his head. "Alright." Then the otter remembered something. "Hey, that other creature! What was his name, Willow? He's there, and will probably be able to handle any trouble this cat gives him." He waved Bryony on. "We'll be seeing you, then!"

"Alright, I'll tell him." Bryony said to Aggril, then walked back over to the tree. "Hey, you up there! We've reached a decision. I'll take you to the Abbey of Redwall, and you may have some food there. Meanwhile, you will point out the direction of the horde, so my friends here don't walk right into their campsite. Oh, and you will stay at the Abbey until I or Abbess Rosemary says so. Deal?" She asked, glaring at Yassen. She'd added a few things, but they weren't big things.

The Shade

Yassen dropped the dead branch he was still welding, and swiftly clambered out the tree. "Is this some sort of trap?" he growled. "I know what's in that abbey, a giant cat. We met earlier. I don't think he liked me. What's to say he won't rip my head off?"

"Nothing. But you stand a better chance in there than you do out here with us." Willow said, grinning. He had caught on to Aggril's plan. He begad idly pawing his dirk handle.
Hey you! What? Expecting a great quote or some heart-warming poem? Too bad, my signature is just boring. Stop reading it. Stop it. Why are you still reading it?

"If anything, he'll be your. . . 'protection'. So calm down and go with the nice squirrel," Aggril said. "C'mon, Willow; let's see how far we can get by dark. See ya later, mate!" he called to Bryony as he walked away.

Dinner was soon served, and Kaylan ate hungrily. It tasted like food always tasted at Redwall - delicious! Downing the last of her bowl of hotroot soup (made especially for the visiting ottercrew), she glanced at the serving trolleys laden with food, deciding to try some mushroom-and-leek pasties next.

The Skarzs

Argunath was not quite sure what to eat; his diet as a child had consisted of hardly the diverse amounts of food served here. He piled his plate with everything, and ate with surprised satisfaction. He was in the middle of taking a bite from a large turnover when he stood up suddenly, hearing giggles and squeals as several Dibbuns were dragged into the air, holding desperately onto his long tail. He poked at them, and they giggled as they fell off.
"Mister Kitty tickles, hee hee hee!"
"Gaw, lookit the size of 'im! 'E's nearly as big as the whole abbey!"
"Can you play again, Mister Cat, sir?"
The cougar was surprised at this, and looked around pleadingly fro somebeast to help. He had never had to deal with little ones.

Willow followed quietly alongside Aggril, then piped up. "So, what do you say we do with the cat? I mean, he is kind of a threat. Do you think Bryony can handle herself with him?"

"Well, the only one he really has a quarrel with is you; good job back there, hitting him with yer knife, mate. Not only that, he has more than Bryony for the good ol' motivation: food. That cat only wanted some vittles. And he won't be expecting what he gets. I don't feel good doing it, but she insisted we go, and that's that. She seems a stubborn beast."

"Right, mate. Salamandastron, here we come." He said. He knew that they must make it there, and avoid danger, but somehow, he was more and more feeling ready for it.

Bryony grinned, "Catch ya later!" She called to her friends, then looked at .Yassen "Well, time we're off!" She said cheerfully, then set off briskly,

Bryant was busy downing a bowl of his favourite soup when he heard
Dibbuns giggling, and then saw Argunath looking around pleadingly, with the babes surrounding his tail, begging him to play. He smiled at the big cat, and nodded encouragingly.
