OOC: Ya, been at school all day.

BIC: Marshall tried to stay with Skipper for the most part. He was  full of exicetment when Redwall started to show. A thought flashed through his mind . Tripper! He could not wait to see the old sea-shrew. He hurried along, wanting to get there as fast as possible.

Fern was in her room, doing some writing. She was copying an old book she'd found in the Gatehouse, about the searat Blaggut, Mother Mellus, and the evil rat Slipp. The book was yellow and crumbling; in fact, it too was a copy, the original volume having fallen apart long ago. Now the Abbess was preserving it for future generations.

As she began copying a new paragraph, she became aware of a presence next to her. Startled, she looked up and realized it was Martin. "Oh, it's you," she said, laying aside her quill.
-----------------------------------
Mycroft and Mirelle were walking at the front of the group. As Redwall came into view, Mirelle broke away from the others and raced on ahead. She was so excited!

The hare watched her go and then turned his attention back to the Abbey looming ahead. He smiled to himself, thinking of seeing Fern and his two little 'uns once again. There was so much to tell.

Martin smiled. Go meet your husband. He's out on the path. I don't know when I'll show up again, and I'm sorry for frightening the little ones a few nights ago. Goodbye, Mother Abbess. He said, then he vanished again, leaving the scent of roses in the room.
----------------------------------------------
Bryony put Bryant down, and smiled. Bryant noticed there was something different about his sister, but it was a good different. She would tell all soon.

As soon as Martin vanished, the Abbess leapt to her footpaws, knocking her chair over in her hurry to get outside. She practically flew downstairs, into Great Hall, across the lawns, and out the open main gate.

May and Brinkut were playing near the Gatehouse, and as soon as their mother ran past, they jumped up and followed.
----------------------
Mirelle had reached the main gate and paused a moment, just enjoying the sense of safety and peace it seemed to bring her. A second later, the peaceful moment was shattered when Fern dashed out of the gate, knocking into her.

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" Fern apologized. When Mirelle assured her that she was fine, the Abbess took off again, with her two leverets trailing behind. Mirelle watched them go, then turned and walked into the Abbey.
----------------------
Mycroft suddenly saw Fern come running out of the Abbey. With a big grin on his face, he sprinted toward her and swooped her into a hug. "Oh, Fern, I missed you so blinkin' bad!" he said, giving her a kiss.

Fern returned it and then gazed up at her husband, her arms still wrapped around him. She was grinning as well. "It's so good to see you again!" Pause. "Where've you been, anyway? You were gone for an eternity," she continued, not sounding annoyed, just curious.

"That's a long story," Mycroft said, but broke off as May and Brinkut came running up. "Papa!" Mycroft grinned again and picked Brinkut up, lifting the leveret onto his shoulders. Taking May's paw in one paw and Fern's in the other, he walked towards the Abbey, Brinkut holding on to his ears.

Fern was still bursting with questions about what had happened to Mycroft and where they found the motley group behind them, but she decided not to ask any more until they were inside. It was just so good to have Mycroft back again!

Marshall saw Fern coming out and hugging Mycroft. He was glad They were back together. The Blue fox hurried on towards the abbey, waiting to find old Tripper. He passed up Mycroft and Fern he passed. They looked so happy together. Plus the little leverets, one oh his shoulders and the other paw in paw. As he sped along, he winked at Mycroft. The hare probably didnt notice. Anywho, he started a run for Redwall.

Bryant wasn't really understanding why Bryony was suddenly going the wrong way, but he went along with her.

Monka now stood alone on the dusty path. He looked at the floor, and shuffled his feet awkwardly. He didn't know how to act, he felt like he was intruding into a part of life where he had no business to be.

Bryony pulled Bryant over to Monka. "Why are you still standing here, silly?" She teased, smiling. Bryant, of course, was shell-shocked. Uh-oh. Was his only thought.

Fern, Mycroft, and the two little hares entered the Abbey. After setting Brinkut down, Mycroft and Fern stood near the main door as the huge group of freed slaves, otters, shrews, and Redwallers flooded in. The Abbess smiled at them all, but then a sudden thought struck her and she turned to Mycroft.

"Did you find out anything about Cien?"

Mycroft lowered his head slightly. "Fern, I'm sorry - Cien is dead. Scarlet Firewave is also dead. A number of the beasts you see here were her bally slaves."

Fern paled but kept her voice steady. "Cien... gone..." she murmured. "Did... did Scarlet kill him?"

"I don't know..." Mycroft said. "Somebeast else told me about it."

Fern turned to face the crowd again, saddened and confused. Was he really evil? But somehow, despite what had come to light in the past few days, she suddenly looked past that and realized that Cien had had some good in him. He'd spent many seasons at Redwall, and during that time he'd been good to everybeast there. No, even if he'd been a slave trader before, he'd tried to make up for it. She could see that now.

Marshall ran to the Infirmary. When he arrived, he saw the old shrew still in his bed.
''TRIPPER!!''
''MARSHALL!!!''
The blue fox ran and hugged the shrew. Over teh little period of time they had know each other, they were best friends.
''What happened on the trip!''
''Well, we freed a BUNCH of slaves, found Skip, and sadly, found out that Cien had died. What happened here at the Abbey?''
''Oh, one of the Dibbuns 'ound some here plans for a MONSTER ship that Cien msut have hid! I'm sad to here about the otta'. Oh well, can ya help me up? I want to go see Skip and the new slaves!''
Marshall helped him up, and together the two went to meet them.

"Um, I thought, well....that you'd want to....well...be alone....with your brother..." Monka didn't looked up as he stammered his reply.

Bryony laughed, and took Monka's paw, so that she was between Bryant and Monka. "You really are silly, aren't you?" She said, smiling.

OOC: I'm assuming that's okay? :P

rachel25

OOC: Yeah. sure.

BIC: Monka felt terribly awkward, but smiled nervously. Not knowing what to say.

Glirid, meanwhile, was watching the crowd flooding in with interest. Some of the slaves were so thin and emaciated he wasn't even sure what type of creature they were. Sucking his paw, he continued watching.

Mirelle had already entered the Abbey building, reveling in the feeling of being in a safe, familiar place. After her ordeal a few days ago, she wanted to stay here forever.

OOC: If its alright with you two, Jukka, and Gonff. I'd like to pause this RP, until maybe Corny can come back. Because we are so close to finishing, if at all possible, I'd like her to be able to finish it with us.
