The Skarzs

Garth found a pillow and a blanket, and gave them to Arya. "Here; I hope this helps."

"Thank you." Arya replied as she took them, and positioned the pillow behind her head,, and drew the blanket up over legs, wincing a little.

The Skarzs

"Just rest; it will help," Garth said.
He leaned back against the chair, chewing on his food. He glanced at Arya once or twice, making sure she was resting.

Arya soon fell asleep, having wonderful dreams, the mask that she usually kept on her face even in sleep falling away........

The Skarzs

Garth was glad Arya was asleep; she looked very peaceful. . .
The squirrel settled back into his own chair, and closed his eyes.

Arya's dream suddenly turned sour. Screaming, the squirrelmaid jerked awake, sobbing.

Garth was ripped from his sleep as Arya screamed, and he opened his mouth in silent pain from his wound. After he recovered, he looked over at the sobbing squirrel. "Are you okay? Arya?"

Covering her face with her paws, the squirrelmaid shuddered, fighting to calm herself. "J-j-just a bad dream." She chocked out, half-wondering where Bella was. The old mouse had, in fact, gone out to collect the herbs that the two needed.

Garth wasn't sure if it would help or not, but he placed his paw on her shoulder to try and comfort her. "It's okay; it was just a dream." He suddenly got an idea to take her mind off the dream. "Do you have any hobbies?"

"No, not really. Just practicing with my bow and sword, and sometimes my dagger."  Arya admitted. "Why?" She asked, a tad puzzled.

The Skarzs

"Erm, because I was just curious." So lame, he thought. "I hoped it might help if we just, you know. . . talked."

"Oh. I see. Well, what's your hobbies?" Arya asked, willing to go along with his plan, so long as it chased away the bad dream.

The Skarzs

"Well, I suppose travelling is a hobby of mine; I'm always doing it. I also like describing things, like sunrises and stuff."

"Really? That sounds cool." Arya said, finally lifting her tear stained face up from her paws. "I look terrible, don't I?" She asked.

The Skarzs

"No, just in need of some comfort." He smiled at her. "This is a description I made some time ago; you might like it.
"From the east a new day breaks. Peeking over the snow-capped mountains like a child over the edge of a table comes the sun. The dark blue of the night sky disperses, giving way to an orange light that kisses the clouds with a color as a ripe peach. Higher the sun rises, casting it's warm rays over the frozen earth, thawing the ground and awakening the dormant buds of countless flowers. Steam rises from the ground as frost and dew evaporates into little wisps of white. New life begins, as if the whole world had been waiting for this moment of natural magic to live. A cool wind blows, moving clouds that block the sun, only to have it appear again in warm wonder light. Gone is the dark, gone is the night, for the morning comes!"
