But that's not correct grammar, "It's" means "It is", "Its" is the possessive
"In the meantime, no one should roam the camp alone. Use the buddy system."
"Understood." Will looked at Nico. "Will you be my buddy?"
"You're a dork," Nico announced.

SAT Grammar, Tip 1 ;D

When things can't be counted, use less. When they can be counted, use fewer.
Example: Now I have less salsa, but fewer tortilla chips.

Use many when things can be counted and much if they cannot.
Example: Why are so many people using too much glitter?

Use number when things can be counted and amount when they cannot.
Example: There's a large number of wolves here, so we better get a large amount of meat.

EDIT: Sorry, made a mistake and fixed it!

"I am Yomin Carr, the harbinger of doom. I am the beginning of the end of your people!" -Yomin Carr

-Sometime later, the second mate was unexpectedly rescued by the subplot, which had been trailing a bit behind the boat (and the plot). The whole story moved along.

Don't question english grammar. That's like trying to question the law of gravity.

Help me out, Grammer Nazis...

Quote from: Religious Q&AFor Roman Catholics, what exactly is Lent and Ash Wednesday?

Should I have used are instead of is in this sentence?

Wylder Treejumper

That would have been correct, yes.
"'Tis the business of small minds to shrink, but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death."
-Thomas Paine

"Integrity and firmness is all I can promise; these, be the voyage long or short, shall never forsake me although I may be deserted by all men."
-George Washington

Courage: Not only the willingness to die manfully, but also the determination to live decently.

It bothers me when people write (for example) 80's, when it's more accurately '80s, because it's the 19 at the front that is being chopped away to allow for the apostrophe. Plus, it's not as if you write 'eighty's'!

Or avoid the worry and just put '1980s'. :P

I seriously just stared at that going, 'Wait, what>? Oh, yeah.' I really need to work on NOT skimming what I read.
Okay, that's creepy. My dad just walked back inside saying 'You really need to watch those eighties.'
