I'm on a field trip right now, and we were playing this on the bus. I think it may work on the forums, so why not give it a try?

For those who don't know this game (I didn't until today!), it's not too hard to get. A good-sized group needs to play. One person is the storyteller or narrator and is basically the game master. One person is the mafia, one is a police officer, and another is a nurse. The mafia chooses someone to kill. The police officer chooses who they think is the mafia. The nurse chooses who they think will be killed in an effort to save the victim. For the forum version, the game master would randomly get three people to fill the roles, and PM them, and they would PM back who they want to kill/accuse/save. I'll do game master for at least the first round if we do play this, depending on how long it takes for people to get the hang of it, as a start. Everyone else is a normal citizen.

After these decisions, the game master creates and posts a story to explain the victim's death. It can be comical. The game master reveals whether the police officer was right or not, but NOT who the mafia is. They also reveal if the nurse was successful or not, and if the nurse did guess right, the victim is saved. Then, everyone else (including the mafia, cop, and nurse) post who they think is the mafia. Of course, the real mafia would put the blame on someone else. Majority rules and the person chosen is out. It is also revealed whether the person is the true mafia, the cop, or the nurse.

The people who get out each time around are the victim (if they are not saved by the nurse) and whoever the citizens choose to get killed. We keep going, and the game ends when the mafia is discovered.

It's enjoyable and not as hard as I make it seem. I know I may have made it confusing, so let me know if something is unclear. It's easier once you start playing.

EDIT: I changed it to two mafias because that's how my friends and I played it and it seemed to work well. This may make the game go longer and not end, like, after one or two rounds. What I will do is send the PMs to the two people, and help you guys come to an agreement about who to kill.
