I don't usually play them, depending on the mood.
Plants vs. Zombies 2, Smash Hit, Temple Run and QuizUp are currently installed on my phone, but it is QuizUp that I'm currently addicted to because it forges my knowledge to the limit.

Yeah, Temple Run is pretty awesome.  Also Angry Birds, though I haven't played it in forever.  Or Subway Surfers, a game similar in premise to Temple Run.

If your willing to spend a little money Heroes and Castles is a really fun game, and it runs really well. Its a third person hack and slash/strategy game. Loads of fun, and multiplayer if your into that.

I think there's a heroes and castles two but I haven't tried it out.

Both Injustice and Mortal Kombat mobile versions are fun. Also, there are Fallout Shelter and Happy Wheels.

 If you're into pixelated adventure/building games, Terraria is a good option. There's also Plants vs. Zombies, which is a pretty entertaining strategy game.

   Clash Royale is a mobile game that's a MOBA/Tower defense/Deck building hybrid made by the Clash of Clans team. Unlike Clash of Clans, though, it's actually really good. (Or so I've heard.) Terraria is great on PC, not sure how well it works on mobile but it's without a doubt a good game.
