Hey, I didn't find another topic like this, so I hope I'm not making a duplicate. I searched the Cavern Hole board, but nothing like this came up. This is a topic to post your favourite SONGS, as well as their lyrics, if you want. One of my fav songs is:

You Get Me, by ZOEgirl. It's from their album A Different Kind of Free.

I could name a million... But here are my real favourites, organized in bands, and also in the order I think of them in. Music is a real passion of mine, so there is heaps.

EDIT: Couldn't be bothered updating the list, so I just took it off. :P

Right now, it would be "Get Me Away From Here, I'm Dying" by Belle and Sebastian (This will constantly change), it is such a pretty song.
Received mostly negative reviews.

Bob Dylan
"The Times They Are A-Changin'", "Jokerman", "Shelter From the Storm", "Blowin' in the Wind", "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall".

Good picks. If I had to pick my five favorite Dylan tunes, I'd probably go with "Sara," "As I Went Out One Morning," "Tangled Up In Blue," "North Country Blues," and "Love Minus Zero/No Limit" . . . but there are so many good ones.

DanielofRedwall

Too true, I probably missed millions of good Dylan songs!

Ka-Ching, by Shania Twain. Also, That Don't Impress Me Much, also by Shania Twain.

Hmm....sad thing. Of all those songs Daniel of Redwall listed I've heard....0.

Some of my favorites include:
Siuil a Ruin
Send Me a Song
Soft Goodbye
Christmas Pipes
The Voice
Caledonia
Lift the Wings
Dulaman
Last Rose of Summer
Mo Ghile Mear
Melody of Life
Erin Beo
Granuaile's Dance
The Butterfly
There is No Night
and I could probably go on and on and on just listing other Celtic Woman songs....and that's only Celtic Woman!
Living in peace, aye many a season,
Calm in life and sound in reason,,
'Til evil arrives, a wicked horde,
Driving a warrior to pick up his sword,
The challenger rings then, straight and fair,
Justice is with us, beware. Beware!

December Mourning, by Manic Drive

Angels in Chorus, by Stellar Kart

Indescribable, by Chris Tomlin.
Yeah, AWESOME song. ;D

'Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God.'

We've had favourite bands/singers and favourite music in general threads, but no favourite songs thread. The replies have been different enough that I think this thread is OK!

As for my favourite songs... there are a lot. My most favourite songs are:

Defying Gravity from the musical Wicked.
The Music of the Night from the musical The Phantom of the Opera.

There are plenty more, but I'll start with those for now.

Icefire

I LOVE Indescribable!!!
"Incomprable, Unchangable
You see the depths of my heart
And you love me the same
YOU ARE AMAZING GOD!!!!"
Living in peace, aye many a season,
Calm in life and sound in reason,,
'Til evil arrives, a wicked horde,
Driving a warrior to pick up his sword,
The challenger rings then, straight and fair,
Justice is with us, beware. Beware!

It's definately always going to be my favorite song of all time. Here's a few more of my favorites:

Joyful Noise, by Lecrae

Skin Deep, by ZOEgirl

Run For Cover, by Kj-52. There's quite a few bad songs out there with the same title, so I'm providing the lyrics for it.

"Mayday, mayday, TeeRawk hooked up with KJ
What's wrong? Why are they both in the same song?
I don't know but I've been told
Hip hop music soothes the soul
On point cuz we keep it in the pole position
We've been trying to keep it cool like air conditioning
Got a handful of cards but I'm sick of playing
These cats try hard but don't hear what I'm saying
Run for cover, if you're on the wall then get off it
Get this thing shaking like a mosh pit
Jesus, the first and last word of my thesis
We cruise like V6 shift
He's the rock of ages, peep this
He even cracked the code of the Matrix
And I got my reasons
You can ask Harrison Ford what lies beneath us

Chorus
I am what I am when it all comes down
You know it's a warning when you hear that sound
They run for cover in the shelter now (Y-O)

There's not enough ways to say Jesus
So I flipped it
Got Thousand Foot Krutch on the track
And remixed it
Now it's the same Jesus now, just in case you missed it
Well the name Jesus stays on my mouth like some lipstick
So I flipped it man, I think the world's gone nuts
So I drop rhymes longer than lines at Starbucks
Now Jesus is trendy kind of like Von Dutch
But that's more messed up than Donald Trump's haircuts
Now hold up he got sold out like it was Ebay
Then beat down and scratched up like a DJ
Then they threw his body in the tomb for like three days
But then he came back kind of like instant replay
But it's Jesus the only one that I'm just speaking
He won't cost a thing like free nights and weekends
Check the tomb, you're gonna find a body missing
And that's a reality show you won't find on television but...

Chorus

By now you know the deal
With a crown of thorns
He died as the king on the hill
And it's time you recognize exactly what is real
Man I got Jesus, I don't need Doctor Phil
But for realla He just became the blood spiller
He's all I need the Prince of Peace and my healer
She carried the child when the Holy Spirit filled her
There's something about Mary, but not the one with Ben Stiller
It's Jesus hopefully now you get it
I got saved like the movie with Mandy Moore in it
And it's, uh, Jesus is who I represent
George Bush is cool
But I nominate Him for president."

Ooo! Another one of my favorites: CAROL OF THE KINGS!!!!! I don't think it's been recorded, but I've never checked...
Living in peace, aye many a season,
Calm in life and sound in reason,,
'Til evil arrives, a wicked horde,
Driving a warrior to pick up his sword,
The challenger rings then, straight and fair,
Justice is with us, beware. Beware!
