Wow! I can't wait! Christmas has always been one of my favorite times of the year.

By the by, if anyone has a striped dragon egg, I'd really like one. If not, I'll continue looking.
My favorite people: Obi Wan, Satele Shan, Jek 14, Kai, Longtooth, and Kili.

They're taking over the forums! Doh well.
Heheh I started a fad! (I posted some of my dragons on the "mythical creatures" thread)

You guys might want to change your settings on DragCave so it'll show your username on your dragons' pages - then when someone clicks your name, they can view your entire list of dragons you own.  ;)

And here's something interesting for you new members - did you know that certain breeds have a special ability?

Magi dragons have possibly the most useful ability: they enable you to trade with, or send an egg to, another user.  (Without one you can only accept gifts, not send any or participate in mutual trades).  I will be willing to gift you guys each a Magi if you want 'cause they're so important and they're usually pretty easy to breed.

Shallow-water dragons have the breed-specific action Splash.  It's a reference to the Pokemon games: when you use it, it'll say "DRAGON used SPLASH! But nothing happened!"  But after you use it about 100 times or so, it'll put a little Magikarp badge at the top of your scroll (dragon page).

Pink dragons have another really useful ability: a Pink dragon can influence an egg to be the same gender.

Green dragons have the Earthquake ability.  When you use it, some of your eggs may hatch instantly.... and some of them might die instantly.

Ice, Magma, and Thunder dragons are considered rare breeds.  When you have one of each breed, they have the Summon action, which has a small chance of summoning a very rare dragon (you can only get 2 of that type of dragon and they can't be traded).  This is also a reference to Pokemon: in the second movie, a Pokemon collector was trying to capture Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres in order to summon Lugia.

Purple dragons have an action called Fertility, which allows them to make one other dragon more likely to have an egg next time you breed it.

Red dragons, being a warm/fire-themed breed, have the ability Incubate, which takes off 1 day's time for the egg to grow up. (Say you use it on a new egg; instead of saying 7 days left it'll say 6 days left.) If you have enough views, this means it'll be able to hatch a day earlier than it otherwise would have, since it'll get to the "4 days left" mark sooner.

Like I said, I'll be willing to breed pretty much anything if anyone asks; you can click on my egg, and then my username on the egg's page, to see all my dragons.  Probably not the place to look if you want adult dragons to be a surprise though. ;)  (Or once you think you've found every type you can on your own, I can surprise you with something you don't have yet!)

Dawnwing can I have a Magi dragon and a two-headed dragon please?

here are mine

-This one is part of the dorkface line, it's father was Cadfan Dorkface Platinum Blue (if any of you own him I'll give you 10 clicks, the same goes for Laburnia Poison Sky, Asgardian Thunder, Cassava Vine, Pink Daydreams and Cape of Greek Love)

I could breed one for you.  Is there a color you would prefer (white, green, red, blue, black)?

There you go, just sent you the teleport link. :)
Nice lineage on that Dorkface dragon, by the way!  I've only got two Dorkfaces; one is inbred and real long-lineaged (as she was one of my first dragons), and the other is a 6th-gen bronze prize dragon.
I do have a 3rd-gen Thuwed though, so I'm pretty proud about that.
(For those wondering, "Dorkface" and "Thuwed" refer to lineages.  Some members, just for fun, like to breed their dragons so that their lineage link has a cool pattern (like Jetthebinturong's Neotropical egg there) or they like to breed offspring of popular dragons.  "Dorkface" refers to any dragons descended from this one gold dragon named Midas Dorkface, it's a popular lineage for some reason, and "Thuwed" refers to dragons descended from the site owner's dragons.  He names all his dragons in Saurian, a fictional language from the StarFox games, and "thuwed" means "dragon" in Saurian.  So, anyway, if you have a dragon that is part of these lineages, the proper thing to do is to put the lineage name in the dragons' name.  For example, I've got an Aeneas Dorkface and an Aurella Thuwed.)

Are the striped dragons the one that occupies the third seat on your sig? If so, I'd like one that same color.  ;) That one is just plain awesome!

Dawnwing

^ Yup, that's a black stripe.

Well, none of my stripes produced eggs this week.  I'll try again next week.

Dannflower Reguba

So then yes, I would like one if you can get one (black stripe).  :)

Little bit of Dragon Cave trivia: the site has secret pages you can only get to by typing the URL.

http://dragcave.net/wilderness - shows dragons that users have released from their account
http://dragcave.net/graveyard - shows dragons that have recently died on the site
http://dragcave.net/thuwed - shows the pairings of the site owner's dragons; if he has any spots available on his waitlist, there'll be a spot to sign up for one
http://dragcave.net/makeallmyeggsgold - just try it xD
http://dragcave.net/check - I don't know if anybody's sure what this is supposed to be
http://dragcave.net/%E0%B2%A0_%E0%B2%A0   - refresh this a couple times

There's also a couple "fake" dragons:
http://dragcave.net/view/XD - fake egg
http://dragcave.net/view/%3C3 - fake egg
http://dragcave.net/view/IHOP - The Dracopancake
http://dragcave.net/view/bb19 - "Missingno", a patch of fog

Whoever wants a two-headed dragon, PM Gorath. I'll breed one for you. Only one open! First come, first serve.
Sorry, Axehound claimed it!

gorath

Hey Dawnwing, are you still getting me the striped egg?
My favorite people: Obi Wan, Satele Shan, Jek 14, Kai, Longtooth, and Kili.

Dawnwing

^ Yup.  Stripes don't produce eggs of their own breed quite as often as normal breeds since they're uncommon; it might take a couple weeks.  I'll try again next week since they didn't produce any this week.

@ Dawnwing: How long have you been on Dragcave?

So for all Dragcave members(and others) we'll make an RP.

I need ideas!
