You can say "Hell," Sierra.  Firstly, it's a term that exists in the Redwall universe.  Secondly, it's not a curse word when used to describe a place.  Thirdly, I haven't heard anyone use "heck" since I was a child, and I am unused to it; when reading it, it throws me off of what is actually being said.
