Crossed Swords Plotting: Swords of Freedom

For the use of Crossed Swords contestants only. Any posts made by those not in the tournament will be deleted.

The board is for those contestants in the Swords of Freedom group. Once character forms are revealed contestants can use this board to develop the first week of the contest. The first week will be character development among those on the Swords of Freedom.

You guys will be coming up with what your characters are doing to create character development. A meal together, a feast? A competition of some kind? A council of war?

Info for the Swords of Freedom.

They are a pre-formed group. The got together before the time of this RP to form the Swords of Freedom. A band created to protect the cave dwellings.

Their leader is Timballisto who will be played by BrookSkimmer. BrookSkimmer will be involved in this planning section to some extent.

It is undecided who else is helping to lead this group. Some characters may be better suited for leading, some for following. You guys can decide that.

You also will want to develop what sorts of relationships these beasts have with each other. Friends? Rivals? Love interests?  Perhaps some are beasts from a different band that came to join the cave dwellings? For instance the three squirrels perhaps? These are just ideas...

Do we want them to know about the BloodSpine or find out about it during the first week?

  Hello out there!  So, if you guys haven't seen, I'm playing the happy young squirrel who thinks that everybeast is good.    I just would like to ask Icefire, seeing as her mouse is a shieldbeast, if Liv would like to be Spera's friend?  I think it would be a good match, bringing out the protective side in Liv as she tries to help the naive squirrelmaid.  But, it's totally up to you, Ice.  Just an idea.

I was totally thinking the same thing! There are actually a couple of characters like that (Sora....Vannøyne), but Spera especially. I can also see her clashing with Nefvae, too. OR being the unlikliest of friends. Wonwill? Everyone?

yeah that would work, when I am rping you guys have to know my eye colour code b/c I will say things like his eyes were grey when he was sitting on the cliff. . I was also thinking maybe we could start out be building defences, like a wall infront of the caves or somthing.

On the whole friend thing, Marcus will most definitely seem unfriendly at times, even if he is being friendly or not. Unless he's in a good mood. He kind of sees Swords of Freedom as a tool of vengeance for him. Also, if he sees that he likes the looks of one of the female mice he might start talking to them a lot more. So... just kinda watch out. :p

@Leatho:Ok, I'm gonna try to do them from memory: BLUE happy/normal, GREEN angry, CREAM loving, GREY sad. Did I get them right? Very cool idea btw.

I would think we don't need to build a wall because we already have disguised enterances built in the aftermath of the first slaughter. We could be shoring up the defenses, but my question is how much of this would we be doing not knowing about danger on the horizon. I mean, such is the nature of living on the north coast, there are always enemies, but what makes sense for us to be doing?

@Ceteruler (and everybody, really) Yeah, my character may not seem extremely friendly at first, which is why I think she could use a friend like Spera to bring out the happier side. I was totally cracking up at the similarities between our characters, Ceteruler. Of course, it was midnight and everything is funny at midnight. However, your character has me thinking I need to be 30 or so. I want to wait and see how old Timballisto is...

Yep, thats right, thanks. The wall was just an idea, good point btw. Freindships yes, love interests not so much, b/c I still think that maid didn't die in the storm.

I liked what Luke did in taking down chop snouts crew. We may do things like that. Oh and could I be in a leadership role or somthing?

  @Icee:  Haha, I was thinking the same thing about Spera bringing the bright side of Liv.    I feel like that'd be a good way to use her.  Make her make others happy.  Like, I believe it's Dan's squirrelmaid who's the antisocial one, yet she likes little ones?  That would be one of the characters that Spera becomes a buddy, possibly wanted, possibly unwanted.  I see her as the type who befriends all, even if they don't want it.  And she'll bug you until you are forced to like her.

@Rainy: Vannøyne....I'm thinking my character will definitely respect Xbalantie, though it's up to Dan how close our characters actually are.

I think Grollo could be somewhat of a follower, but a smart thinker who could help get them out in sticky situations. Could have a friend, but I don't think Grollo has any love interests.

@Ice: Yeah, based on the information I have, I don't think Nevfae and Liv would get along.

Now, about the defense in paticular, I like the idea of using Luke's methods. Maybe a few archers and slingers on top of the cliffs or in the mouth of the caves.

Rocks to throw down or bolders to push down? Bolders might be risky if we have peopleon the ground, but I think we should totally have a couple just in case.

@Wonwill: Some dissension, but they have to learn to work together perhaps?

I vote we have a motto similar to Leatho's siggie.
