Accepted.  :) I think that the best way to incorporate you would to have you join the team with 3 people once they've all entered their respective rings.

They will all be moved to a new destination once their teams are chosen, there are 7 of them so the one that only has 3 will happen upon you in their transportation. Your character was on the quest, but your team was stupid so they all died, and you've been sentenced to wander until another team happens upon you. You've forgotten all experiences in the field.  :)
