The sink continued to make the funny noises. They started doing little drop-drop noises and then drip-drip noises and then suddenly grew to something that was not dissimilar to the sound of a ready tea-kettle. A second passed. The tea-kettle sound momentarily lowered in pitch and then, BOOM!!! The whole sink exploded and water gushed everywhere. A dense mist surrounded the kitchen, completely obscuring vision from all. The water continued to gush and spout forth until finally it slowly cut off. Slowly the mist faded away to reveal a very wrecked kitchen. On the floor knocked out cold was Hiag.

-Sometime later, the second mate was unexpectedly rescued by the subplot, which had been trailing a bit behind the boat (and the plot). The whole story moved along.
