Shadowed One

Aster stepped back, but not before the blade had nicked his footpaw. Backing into the alley, Aster suddenly leaped over his opponent but, missing his footing, landed on his chest with a thud.

Aldar held his ground. "Aye, of course ye weren't. Ye were too busy screamin' your head off and runnin' around like a daftbeast! How rather clever of you. Such a brilliant strategy. I wonder why no one else thought of it?" His voice was filled with sarcasm. "Oh, wait!" he said. "I think they were too busy using their brains to think up better ideas, but a brainless toad like you could never do that. Too bad."
NARDOLE; You are completely out of your mind!

Jukmin was used to sarcasm, she used it enough and anyway the battle cry strategy had worked before. It had scared her opponents when she had come charging up to them yelling her blood chilling battle cry. But this creature wasn't scared so she would have to just fight him.
Jukmin slashed at Alder.

Aldar parried it with his shortsword. "That all ye got, seadog?" He tried an uppercut with his knife. "It won't be enough!"

The Shade

After the short tussle with Aster, Sandfire kept to the shadows of the passage, wondering what the outcome of all the fights would be. If he hid, would he be left to battle the final suriver? Glancing up, he saw something, in the ruins of a tower. It was fairly stocky, which led him to think it was a short otter, or a beaver. Anyhow, he would find out soon enough! He broke into a run, heading toward the tower base.

Jukmin dodged the blow and jumped stabbing down at the same time.

The hare picked up her fallen trident and kick the shield away. Turning around she waited for him to get up.

Shadowed One

Aster slowly rose to his feet. He knew it would be a lucky day for him if he beat this hare. Deciding discretion was the better part of valor, he turned and leaped for a small ledge halfway up the wall.

Aldar stepped back just in time to avoid the attack. But now he was right on the edge! He took a quick glance down behind him. It was a bit too high to jump down. He was running out of options. He would have to think up something now, or he was done for. Suddenly he got an idea. He switched his shortsword into a normal grip, and then made a weak blow down onto the otter. He just hoped she would take the bait.

Jukmin leaped at Alder but as she did she realized he had tricked her, but it was too late.

Mucroni-manum went after him and with a leep she reached out to his footpaw.

Aldar smiled in his mind as the otter took the bait. Using the otter's momentum to his own advantage he grabbed her and pulled them both over the edge.

It was much too high off the ground to jump down, but if there was something to break the fall...Or someone, Aldar thought as they hurdled down towards the ground below. He had to execute this right, or this would turn out a lot more messy than he intended. He had to have the otter be below him to break his fall. If he could keep it together for just a moment longer...

Jukmin inwardly cursed herself as they fell.
How could I be so stupid?
Jukmin's fertile mind suddenly came up with a solution. If i have to hit the ground, then I won't be hitting it underneath this vermin.
Jukmin got hold of Alder's paw and twisted it before pushing herself away from him.
The ground was looming up now, Jukmin rolled as she came to earth, making the fall not so painful but she had sprained her footpaw.
I just hope that fool will be hurt much worse.

Aster kicked down at Mucroni-manum, hoping to make her let go of his foot. At the same time, he tried to hold onto the ledge, but his paws were slipping.

The hare was kicked in the face and let go of his foot paw, she landed on her back but quickly got up. Taking her trident, she jabbed at him with it.
