Anpan stopped for a moment to look at a butterfly fluttering near the side of the path. It was a pretty little thing, blue and fluttery.

Was anyone else on the old DAB forum, circa 2009? I was recently reminded of it, lol.

As she neared the creature Reina could see it was an ottermaid. The otter paused for a moment to watch a butterfly, and Reina stopped as well. An otter. What if she's like most woodlanders, and attacks me or something? But I've gotta try.

Startled, Anpan looked around to see a ferretmaid behind her on the path. Her mother's words echoed in her head. Watch out for vermin, Anpan. They'll kill you as soon as look at you. Ignoring this, she waved at the ferret.

"Hello!"
Was anyone else on the old DAB forum, circa 2009? I was recently reminded of it, lol.

Reina walked closer, speaking quickly. "Please don't hurt me. I'm Reina. I would just like to know if you've heard of a fox named Creulon? I have to find him." She stopped walking and stood a few feet away from Anpan.

Anpan blinked, and then smiled. "I won't hurt you. I haven't heard of Creulon... Sorry. I'm headed towards Redwall Abbey though, and maybe somebeast there might have heard of him! Want to come with me?"

"I..." Reina began. Then she stopped. Wow. A friendly otter. Should I go with her? I mean, what if the Redwallers are nice too? And maybe... just maybe... someone there knows something about Creulon.

Anpan shrugged. "I've heard that the brothers and sisters of Redwall welcome anybeast who means no harm. You seem pretty harmless to me, so perhaps you will to them too!"

Reina walked next to Anpan in silence. Wondering what Redwall would be like, and if the Abbeydwellers would even accept her.

Eventually she could make out a large red building in the distance. She slowed down a little, somewhat nervous.

Anpan, not really paying attention to where she was going due to the flora and fauna beside the path, realized that her companion had slowed down. Looking up, she saw the Abbey ahead. "The Abbey! Let's go!" Making a grab for Reina's paw, the ottermaid began sprinting towards the great redstone building.
