"That sounds great! I'll just have a couple of scones and maybe some mint tea." Fern walked over to the counter and took a few scones from a dish, while the Friar politely poured her a steaming mug of tea. Fern thanked him and settled down with her snack at a small table in a corner of the kitchens. She waited for Marshall to join her.

Scarlet's sharp eyes noticed the biggest otter doing something strange, its was a sort of sawing movement. "Reki, what's that big otter doing?"
Reki, who was kiting his men out with cat-of-nine-tails, turned. He also noticed the strange movements, "Oi what you got there otter?"
Cien saw the dagger itself jus for a moment, he inwardly was screaming at Skipper, "Don't do it. Stop now, there's guys on the deck above you with crossbows. Just don't do it!"
---------------------
Mona walked on in silence, he kept taking secret glances at Bryony, trying to work her out. Why was such a pretty squirrelmaid, so inclined to help a ragger bond like himself, and not expect anything in return.

Bryony sighed, thinking her thoughts. She walked along, first gazing at the trees, then at the sky, then searching the ground....Anywhere but her traveling companion.
---------------------------------------
Skipper gritted his teeth when the otter maid noticed he was sawing at his bonds, and sawed faster. Then, the dagger cut threw the rope, and he ran for the side, getting hit in the shoulder and the other arm by arrows while doing so. He jumped, hoping he could make it to the side.

Mirelle held her breath, wincing as Skipper was hit by two crossbow bolts. C'mon, Skip, you can make it!

"GET HIM!" Scarlet screamed, and as she did loads of crew men ran to grab the otter, the crossbow beast, were reloading, and getting ready for the kill.
----------------------
Cien inwardly was screaming at Skipper, "You idiot! You've only made it worse for the rest of the crew, oh why'd you do it Skip?"
------------------------
Monka could see Bryony was avoiding looking at him, he wasn't quite sure why. Maybe it was because he had been rude to her earlier. He guessed he better apologise, there had been no need for what he had said. Um, Bryony, I..I..I, I just want to say sorry for the way I spoke to you earlier. I was uncalled for, and unnecessary. I'm sorry."
--------------------
Sister Lupine, and Maple made their way back into Redwall Abbey. Lupine wanted to speak to Abbess Fern immediately.

Cornflower MM

"Oh! It's fine, really." Bryony said, somewhat startled.
-------------------------------
Skipper had made it to the water, but gained another two arrows. He winced, and started swimming up stream, then popped his head above the water, and yelled, "I'LL COME BACK FOR YE, CREW!" took a breath of air, and started swimming again.

The crossbow beast continued to fire, again, and again. Until Scarlet screamed at them to stop. Then she walked across the deck, and straight up to Reki, and slapped him so hard across the face, it hit him to the ground. "I expect you to do your job properly! And yet, one of my new slaves just got away!"
Reki, got up onto his knees, blood pouring from his nose, and a cut on his cheek. As well as from his mouth from where he'd bit his tongue when he hit the deck. "I'm sorry Captain. I wasn't my fault, I..."
Scarlet cut him off short by kicking him in the stomach. Reki bent over double in agony. Trying to get his breath back.
Despite everything, Cien smirked. It was nice to see Scarlet not getting her way.

Skipper swam as long as he could, which was pityfully short, then he swam over to the bank and dragged himself onto it, then let the pain of swimming with multiple arrows in him (Since the archers had hit him a few times while he was swimming away) overtake him.

Marshall carried the tray of mint tea and brought it to the Abbess.
''Well marm, i hope Lupine gets here soon. I want to know what happened to those looney squirrles and Skipper went.''
I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

Scarlet turned on Cien, murder in her eyes. "Oh, you find this funny do you?"
"Yeah actually." Cien smiled.
Scarlet took this worse than any insult. She went mad, screaming, and kicking. She then turned on the only just recovered Reki, and took him by the neck, and dragged him to his feet. "Beat the living day lights out of these slaves, then heat the brands!"
Reki chocking gurgled a yes. Scarlet then dropped him, and he fell to the floor coughing.

OOC: Oops!

BIC: "Are you sure? It really was wrong of me to shout at you like that." Monka muttered, looking at the ground as he walked.

Cornflower MM

"Yes....I've had worse. Worse like like chains, whips, and screaming to get moving, keep building." Bryony said, lo0oking at her wrists. The fur had grown back, but she still remembered the bite of the manacles.

"Oh, I know," Fern responded. "I'm sure they'll have quite a tale to tell when they do get back. 'Cause I'm sure they will get back. Yes, they will." She was saying this more to herself for reassurance, for her old anxiety began to return for a moment. But she made herself stop thinking about it and bit into a strawberry scone.

Mirelle did nothing, just kept her face impassive. She was thankful Skipper had gotten away, but was angry, as well as frightened of what awaited her. Also, she was a bit worried about Skipper's daughter, who was already wounded and tired. How would she handle what was in store for her? Mirelle herself had been wounded in the ambush - an arrow had grazed her shoulder, giving her a shallow wound, and another had hit her leg, which hurt as well as caused her to limp - but she'd been lucky.

Monka stopped, and stared at Bryony as if she'd grown a second head. "You were a slave? An, actual slave?"
-----------------
Sister Lupine burst into the Abbey, determined to find the Abbes, and was directed to the kitchens by a mouse who was doing something to the candle sticks around Great Hall.
She hurried to the kitchens, followed by little Maple, who kept asking for candied chestnuts. Lupine walked into the kitchens, and looked around for Abbess Fern.
---------------------
Reki had managed to get to his feet, and signalled for the otters to be beaten. Scarlet smiled, wickedly, Cien looked away. He knew who much this hurt.
