"They must be dealt with!"
Abbot Ggural slammed his fist down on the table, making the dishes and candlesticks jump, not to mention those creatures near the hedgehog.
"Those Trolls will be getting out of hand in the next few seasons if they are not put down. You have seen what they can and have done: holts attacked, houses destroyed, and innocent creatures killed. Were it not for the refuge that we offer to these victims of primitive monsters, more lives would have been lost!"
The abbot sat down, folding his paws under his chin.
"They are a threat that cannot be ignored; even vermin are afraid of them." Suddenly he pointed at a rat, standing off to the side. "You, tell what happened in the hills."
The rat hesitated, then spoke. "Well, me'n my pop were goin' up to do some fishin', and out o' nowhere we sees this big hulking troll, an' he tells us to go 'way, and throws a rock in our direction. Well, pops didn't like that, and he picks up his axe 'e did, chargin' the beast. He swings, and takes a big chunk outa the troll's hide. This 'ere troll, 'e roared in pain, and he starts bleeding black blood. Pops keeps hittin' him with the axe, and the troll turns around and crushes in his head with a big stone! When he saw me too, he came at me, roarin' and charging! 'E was gonna kill me, and I didn't stop until I came here."
"You see?" said Ggural, "These trolls are monsters, attacking creatures who can only barely defend themselves! Unless their rising numbers are quelled," he rapped his knuckles on the table to express his words, "They will kill us all."

"Lord Nagrom! My lord!" A Cave Troll bounded into the chamber, lit with strange light that reflected off the shiny sides of stalagmites and stalactites. The normally pleasant face was stretched with anxiety. "The Rock Troll Lord Xecam is dying! We found him up near his lake, battered and bleeding! He got into a fight with an axe-wielding rat, and was badly injured. I came as quickly as I could."
The Cave Troll Lord Nagrom rose from his seat and hurried to the distressed Troll. "Where is he? How long ago was he brought?" While no emotion was present on the lord's face, his stony voice had a hint of worry in it.
"It could not have been a few hours since the fight, and we only just got him to the Tanes (the troll nurses). They fear he has only minutes to live." Another troll came in slowly, and solemnly announced Xecam's death.
Nagrom inclined his shoulders and head in respect for the deceased, then straightening as he dismissed the messenger.
Walking back to his throne, he rubbed his head with a rough hand, making a sound as of grinding stone. That is the tenth Troll in five days, he thought. I fear it will only get worse. If the creatures around us cannot live without killing our kind, then it may come to war. The effects of such a war would be devastating. He sighed, and hoped it would not come to that.

OOC: Corn, could Arya maybe come to visit Nagrom? His cave entrance is in the lower mountains north of Redwall; the guards know Arya well enough to let her in.

OOC Of course!

BIC Arya drew in a deep breath of the fresh, refreshing air. It always smelled and tasted better here, for whatever reason. Her best friend's Nagrom's cave was just around the corner she was rounding. "Hello, Oakea, Northy! She greeted the trolls on guard duty. "May I see Nagrom? Is he too busy?" She asked anxiously. The two trolls let her in, and she bumped her head on the ceiling. "Ow! Why do I always do that?" She muttered, then dipped her head and continued. "Nagrom!" She exclaimed joyously, walking quickly over to him.

The Skarzs

"Ah, Arya. Hello. This is a pleasant surprise."
Nagrom rose to greet his friend. "But I fear you come at an unpleasant time. Xecam, the Lord of the Rock Trolls, has been killed. We must send his body to his Trolls for burial."
While he did not smile, his voice took a more pleasant tone as he changed the subject. "What brings you, old friend? It has been too long." He set a rough paw on her shoulder and led her through the tunnels. "Are you hungry?"

Arya gasped when she heard Xecam was dead, then she dpbanged her head on the ceiling. Again, "Ow! That's terrible news! What, I have to have an excuse to see my old friend? And it would be nice to gave a bite to eat, since thus pack on my back has been empty for two days." Arya said, St first solemnly, then laughingly. She allowed Nagrom to lead her to the Kitchens.

Charlie was bored. He had absolutely nothing to do. His woods were boring, nothing ever happened there.

Except of course, today.

He had seen the awe-inspiring battle between the rat and Xecam. It was short lived, though, because the rat had made a victorious hack with his axe and ended the fight.

He fled through the trees like a whisper. The trees and shrubs flew by in a green blur. He didn't stop running until he knew the rat could not find him. He slowed himself, and stopped. He leaned upon a rock and panted, sap (His equivalent of sweat, though much stickier) dripped from his forehead. He felt a tremor run through his arm. He heard it now too, it was like heavy breathing.

He soon found that the rock he had leaned on was not, in fact, a rock. It was a troll. It stood and looked down on him. It was quite a large troll, and extremely intimidating.

"Hey! Fursan," Shouted Charlie, "It's me, you blithering idiot! Don't step on me!"

The Troll apologized and sat back down, once again looking like an ordinary boulder.

"Aye," He muttered, "I guess it's good to know some of your neighbors' names. It saves you a heap of trouble."

He walked on, towards Redwall. He had some haunting to do.
Hey you! What? Expecting a great quote or some heart-warming poem? Too bad, my signature is just boring. Stop reading it. Stop it. Why are you still reading it?

Nagrom continued toward the kitchens, rapping his fist on the stone counter. "Our honorable guest needs sustenance; fetch her some elderberry wine, some cheese, and nutty bread. Some soup as well, and perhaps a scone or two." The cooks, or Burgoosh in Troll, carried out the orders swiftly, carrying out several plates of the food. Nagrom scratched his chin. "Did I forget anything? Oh, I forgot how little you overdwellers eat compared to us; bah, I will help you to finish this feast. Come!" He walked back to the chamber being followed by the Burgoosh.

OOC: Thank you all for joining!

OOC You're Welcome,e!  ;D

BIC Arya smiled, banged her head on the ceiling again, then followed Nagrom and the Burgoosh. When they finally got to the chamber, Arya'd hit her head three more times.

Aritha moved gracefully threw the trees.  She had seen the fight as well from the cover of the pond reads. She did not like vermin but trolls she hated even more. She was glad when the accursed creature died. She felt a tremor in her soul. Her sisters deaths weighed heavy in her heart. She Would not rest till she was avenged.  She heard the sound of some one moving threw the trees. Some one small and light of foot. She moved quietly into the treetops and waited. She soon saw a Dryad but he was not like her in fact she thought he looked quit ugly. She dropped down lightly in front of him.

OOC: No offence Norham.
I am back... sort of... maybe... Hi?

"Good, good. We shall eat, and we shall talk," said Nagrom. A stone seat had been brought into the chamber, as well as a marble table. He beckoned to Arya that she sit down. "Watch your head right there," he warned.

Arya was about to hit her head again when Nagrom warned her. "Thanks." She said gratefully, and sat down, and started to eat.

The Troll Lord tapped his chest plate, and another troll came in with eating dishes and utensils: made of stone and metal.
"The mines go well; we were even able to leave some metal for those Guosim shrews; strange fellows. Our farms flourish, and our cellars are sustained. But. . . our numbers dwindle. We have been attacked much." He waved his hand, as if trying to disperse a foul air. "But that is just us; what have you to say, hmm? How go the overdwellers, as well as that house of red stone, Redwall?"

When Nagrom mentioned Red wall, Arya gulped. "Ah...Er.....Um....Weeelll....," She stammered, then sighed, and finally spit out, "You don't want to know."

"Has something happened? Tell me." After a second he added, "Please."

Arya dropped her fork and, putting her elbows on the table which was shocking, for she had excellent manners, put her head into her paws, and muttered, "They think trolls are really, really bad. And they will probably be wanting to do something about you guys."

Charlin had been peacefully walking, when a much larger Willow Dryad alighted before him.
He had never seen any other Dryad but himself. Maybe, they could become friends? No. He had to stay away from others. It's what father always said.

His face soon became dark, and knotted, like a dying tree. He let out a blood chilling shriek, and flew through the trees, making a mad dash for some cover.
