Mark kicks the Totem Lathe angrily. It does nothing. Lily rolls her eyes and drops the pre-punched card next to the Totem Lathe. Mark inserts it into the Totem Lathe, causing a variety of multitools to carve a pattern onto the cruxite. Lily picks it up and deposits it in the attic. Mark heads up to the attic and plugs the cruxite into the alchemiter. He pushes a button, causing a glowing fox to briefly appear on the alchemiter. It throws a laptop at mark, then vanishes. Mark inspects the computer, which has had most of the keys removed. The only keys that still remain are "M, I, D, L, and E." After thinking for nearly two whole minutes, he slowly presses the m, then the i, then the d, then the l, then the e. Nothing happens. Lily, annoyed by Mark's stupidity, grabs her Mokia.
"Mark! Type 'Middle!'"
"Oh, that's what I have to do!"
"Hurry up. There's a meteor headed right for your house."
"Okay, okay. M... I... D... D... E... Darn it, that's wrong. M... I... D..."
"Thirty seconds."
"D... L... Whoops, pressed L twice."
"Twenty seconds."
"M... I... D... L... Dang it. M... I... D... D... L..."
"Ten."

Mark disappears completely. As does his entire house.
Lily stares dumbly at her screen. Mark's house is now perched precariously on a huge pillar of rock and soil, in the middle of a seemingly endless void of white. She is momentarily distracted by a call from Frank.
"Hey, Lily. Just ought to let you know. There's a lot of stuff showing up that I can make now. There's this weird thing called a Punch Designix, which might have something to do with those pre-punched cards, but you need Shale and Build Grist to make it. You've got none of either."
"Gimme a minute, I'm cheating the system."

Lily: Use your cruxtruder.
Lily: Use the deep web to give Frank more grist.
Frank: Use your cruxtruder.

Beetle - A crushed beetle with an unknown electric device inside it.
