You swiftly jump aside, just as the strange creature swings its hammer at you. Galli throws her fork, which hits the beast in the eye. It roars with pain and charges again, but you manage to sidestep it. You shout to Galli, who is on the other side of the creature.
"Where did you get a knife and fork?"
"I DON'T KNOW! THIS IS THE CELLARS, DON'T QUESTION IT!"
The beast charges you once again, its fist brushing just past your head. Galli takes advantage of how you are distracting the creature to dash past you both, clambering up the ladder onto the second floor, which is mainly scaffolding.
"Try and get up here!"

Have Galli throw her knife, providing a distraction that will let you run for the ladder.
Jump on the anvil and try to have your enemy hit it with his hammer, stunning him.

I've read through this, and its pretty cool what you've done Grodds. I say choice two, though Aim did manage to hit poor Skarzs in the eye with her fork, so I don't doubt her ability, but she might need the knife later on.

You dodge past the hammer once more and clamber onto the massive anvil, taking care not to cut yourself on the damaged chainaxe. You stand there, eyeing the ladder, as the creature swings its hammer. You manage to jump off just in time, as the hammer strikes the anvil, reverberating through the creature's body. It shrieks and drops the hammer, crying out in pain and holding its arm. You notice the chainaxe on the anvil has actually been bent back into shape, but the electronics are still buggered. Nonetheless, you grab the weapon and dash towards the ladder.

Baliss got Ashe's Chainaxe.

You sling the Chainaxe back into your rucksack and leap onto the ladder, trying, and failing, to grasp it with your tendrils. By the now, the creature has managed to pick its hammer up and is working itself into a frenzy. Galli appears at the top of the scaffolding, poking her head over the side.
"Oi, pass the the Chainaxe handle up here!"
Not questioning it, you pull out the Chainaxe and pass the handle up. Galli grabs a hold, as does another set of paws that just appeared. You hold on tight to a protruding part of the weapon, thankfully not sharp, and are promptly hauled up to the scaffolding. You take the Chainaxe from Galli and examine your new ally. A stoat, dressed in quite nice regalia, but with a perpetual scowl on his face. You reach out a tendril, but he pushes it away.
"Who're you?"
"Baliss. You?"
"Lord Daskar."
"What're you doing here?"
"You first."
"Making our way to Hideouts."
"Good luck getting past Del."
"Del?"
"He's the reason I'm stuck up here. The 'Skarkar OTP', whatever that means. I got tossed up here to survive by eating the lichen off the walls. I swear, when I get out of here, I'll blow this place..."
"Okay, okay, we get it. How do we get out of here?"
"There's a door that leads across to 'Lock this Topic', but you aren't getting out that way any time soon. The only other way out leads down to the Dungeon, and then out to the Most Random Thread Ever. Problem is, its rusted shut. Only Skarz's strength would open it, and he doesn't seem friendly."
"So what do we do?"
"Two options. Kill Skarz, then use this serum I found in one of the crates up here to resurrect him just long enough to open the hatch, then dissolve. The other way won't work."
"What's this other way?"
"I told you, it won't work. You'd need to find something, or someone, who is able to not only pacify Skarz, but get him to help you."
"Seems easier than trying to kill him."
"Not necessarily. If you got to the top of this scaffolding and jumped down with that weapon of yours, you could probably cleave him clean in two. Course, you'd need to find some way of repairing the electronics of your Chainaxe, or it'd take a lot more force to kill him manually."
"Any idea where to look for repairs, or something to pacify him?"
"There should be some stuff in these crates. Or, there's a tiny little door in the wall over there. Problem is, none of us would ever fit through."

Daskar joined your party.

Search the crates.
Ask Galli for ideas.
Inspect the tiny door.

You walk over to the tiny door. True to Daskar's word, your tendril won't even fit through. You turn to Galli.
"Any ideas what this is? How to get through?"
"Well, the wall is solid concrete, so you probably can't bash your way through it. Maybe something in the crates could help... Oh, that's right. In that crate over there, there's a big book that says "Shrink Ray Construction" on it. Might be a good idea to grab that."
You walk over to the book and flip through it.
"Huh. Looks like there's one thing in common between the Chainaxe and Shrink Ray. Both need something called an 'Imperial Electrocore.'"
Daskar walks over to you.
"I know about those things. They're really rare, but there's one in the Daskarian Armory. I could call them, see if they could deliver it here. But we only have one. You'd have to choose between the Shrink Ray and the Chainaxe."
Several minutes later, a tiny portal opens out of nowhere, propelling a small box the size of a human thumb right into Daskar's waiting paws. He puts it in your rucksack. Time to get searching.

Look for Shrink Ray parts.
Look for Chainaxe parts.
