Chainaxe raised, you step off the plank and back into the building. You search for any sign of life, and follow the screams. The box's owner is probably around here somewhere... After smashing down a door, you notice a room filled with plushies, with a large cardboard box in the center. The screams are resonating from beneath the box. You kick it aside, revealing another Forumite. She screams at you.
"aaaaaaa"
Still, despite the screams, she doesn't seem hostile. Maybe...
You pull out the Translation Box and offer it to the Forumite. She slowly approaches you, then snatches the box. She spins it in her hands, then smashes it on the ground. A small, glowing crystal falls out, which she quickly swallows. The Forumite then stands up to face you.
"Whew, that was interesting. Don't know why I was screaming like that. Name's Galli, who're you?"

Introduce yourself.

With Galli now following you, you return to the plank and start to cross. As you walk underneath the crashed plane, Galli points at it.
"See that? That's Chipster. Or what's left of him. He attacked my box after he went mad. But Rosie, Groddil, and I managed to fight him off."
"Who're Groddil and Rosie?"
"Two other Forumites. I think Rosie ran off with Gonff, but I don't know about Groddil. Apparently he ascended to a higher board of existence, where posts actually get counted and Forumites RP instead of PP, or something like that. Who knows? Who cares?"
You step off the plank into the next thread. It's very dark in here...

Ask Galli what gear she has.
Rig up a makeshift lantern out of some Chainaxe fuel, a piece of rebar, and your own toenails.

Cheers! If you take a gander at the "MemberDeck", you'll notice that everyone's on there. I intend to make everyone appear at some form or other, whether as a potential ally (Ashe, Galli), a crazed Forumite (Russa), or just a cameo for members I don't know how to write into the story that well. You and Galli look at each other. There has to be some way to get through this place. She shrugs.
"Any ideas?"
"I could try to make a lantern or torch or something."
"Good idea. I'll see what I've got."
You pick up a length of rebar, and a large chunk of concrete. You reach into your pocket and find several toenail clippings. Uck. You don't even have toenails anymore. You shove them into the end of the rebar length, then take out your jerry can and pour a small amount of fuel onto it.
"Find anything useful?
"Let's seeee: a soggy wad of paper, two toothpicks, and a dead beetle with an unknown electronic device wedged inside its corpse. Why do you ask?"

"Just give me the paper and the toothpicks."
"Okay."
You shove the paper onto the end of the rebar and hold it in place by jabbing the toothpicks through it. You smash the concrete against your chainaxe, sending off a shower of sparks. After several strikes, you manage to light the torch.

Baliss got a torch.

You take a step into the dark, through a doorframe and notice a massive shadow out of the corner of your eye. Behind you, you hear Galli gulp. You try to rev your chainaxe back into action, but it splutters and gives off smoke. The actual axe blade has been bent into an unnatural shape. You'd need a blacksmith or something to fix it. Then, the door behind you slams shut. The room lights up as a huge forge roars into life. Then, out of the corner of the room, a massive... thing slowly lumbers into view. It looks like a a cross between a bodybuilder and a potato. It grips a hammer in one hand and curls a fist with the other. You toss the chainaxe aside, where it lands on a huge anvil. You raise the torch. Galli raises her knife and fork. The creature charges.

Baliss lost Ashe's Chainaxe.

Dodge!
Shove Galli in front of you and run for a nearby ladder.
