I have read the book, I am in the process of reading the LOTR trilogy, and I saw the Hobbit a few weeks ago. Then I watched the "How It Should Have Ended" video for it. *smirks, busts up laughing* Oh, so funny... If you haven't seen it, you should watch it (but only if you have either read the book or seen the movie).

Oh, the dwarves! I've always loved Fili and Kili, but my favorite in the movie was definitely Bofur. His hat was ridiculous! :D I like how Bofur is usually silly, but they gave him a really good serious moment, too. Gollum was also much nicer and funnier in this movie than in the trilogy.

Me Mum waz livid when the movie ended. They took a zimple little book an' turned it intae a two part/three part 'er!

The Blu-Ray/DVD release date is March 19th!  Apparently they'll release an extended edition sometime later in the year, though.  I'm tempted to wait for that.

I don't mean the 2nd movie, I mean they'll release a second version of the first one on Blu-Ray/DVD with a half hour of scenes that didn't appear in the theater version or the one released in March.

The second one comes out in Late December 2013 then the third is in July 2014.
