Silverstorm nodded and let him in. "We all know you're a friend," she said. but while she was escorting Barbossa she saw a hare and a mouse approaching the main gates of the abbey. "Wait here," she said and went to the gates. "who are you and what do you want?" she asked the newcomers in a commanding, but not cold, voice.

Barbossa got down and watched. He didn't want to disobey her orders.

Silverstorm smiled at him. "it's okay, you can just go and eat breakfast now." she said before turning back to the hare and the mouse.

Barbossa slowly nodded his head and walked to cavern hole. The dibbuns would swarm him and ask him for candy like usual, the abbot would ask many questions, the maids would watch him all the time, and the best part was the food.

OOC: Okay, guys. That's enough for now. Remember what Lutra said in OOC topic:

Its plainly obvious the mods cannot all get on as often as some members here.  Most of us have other responsibilities such as jobs beyond this board, so the frequency that we can post and reply is limited.  Therefore, if you wish to join in and help us around Redwall, make one post and abstain from posting again till at least two mods have made a post following yours.  This will prevent the story from going so far ahead of the mods that its almost impossible to catch up or it makes for awkward moments.

You'll have to be patient, but that's the fairest way to work this out so everyone has the opportunity to join in.  If you're posting too rapidly, it will be pointed out.
Please refrain from posting until at least two mods have posted. Also, please keep future interactions to a minimum unless you are directly interacting with a mod. Thank you.

OOC:Oh, sorry about that. Very forgetful person here.

Lily

Lily badly wanted to talk to the other otter alone. There was something about him; he seemed almost as confused by his surroundings as herself. Maybe he'd be able to tell her how she ended up here. She made a mental note to try to catch him alone later just as a cheerful-looking mouse sat down beside her and began eating everything in sight. Lily decided that was a brilliant idea and asked the mouse to pass her a slice of what looked like some sort of crumble.
"Hey, matey!" Otters called everyone "matey", right? "Can I have a slice of that, er, crumble before you eat it all?" She mentally congratulated herself on nearly making it through a full sentence without stumbling over her words.

Lutra

OOC: Yes, please, don't go too far ahead without us! :P  Anyway, I was awaiting Lily to reply to move forward.  Now that she has, I will.

IC:

Whitewater got no response from the female otter, who looked awfully uncomfortable.  Maybe you don't ask too much of strangers in this place he thought awkwardly.  He watched as she turned her attention away from him and towards some of the mice who had sat at the table.  So much for otters bonding together for the moment anyway.

Now focused on how much food he had eaten, Whitewater realized he had drank five mugs of strawberry cordial, and was itching for another.  How much was too much?  When do I stop eating, and excuse myself from the festivities?  None of this was ever mentioned.  Maybe there were no limits, like those all you could eat buffets back home.  Then again, those always ended in agony, and the otter already had enough attention drawn to him, and didn't need other issues arising.

He still wanted to talk to that otter.  Maybe she would speak with him if it was just her and him.  They did pass a large chamber room on the way to this dining area, and all he had to do was walk out the short corridor across the room.  He remembered a big wall tapestry there and if anyone asked he could always say he was admiring it--which wouldn't have been a lie.  May as well get to know the place if I'm going to be stuck here a while he thought amicably.  He made to get up from the table, double checking his tail wouldn't get caught in the chair.  "May I be excused?  Thank you!" he said hurriedly, and ambled over to the female otter.  He whispered so only she could hear: "Meet me in the next room by the wall tapestry."  With that, he left and never focused harder on the simple process of walking.  Left, right, left, right, tail out and out of the way.... but he made it out of the room without any stumbles and into the hall where the tapestry of Martin the Warrior was hanging, glowing in the lamp light.  It was beautiful, and he had ever intention of looking it over, but was keen on seeing whether or not his confuddled companion would follow him.

Shade watched the otter leave. She wondered if he was going back to bed.

I suppose you could.  Certainly could make for an interesting talk if Whitewater was expecting Lily to follow him.  ;)

OOC: Have to point this out, Lutra; in my last post, Matthias asked Whitewater a question that was never answered.

AbbotAlf0805

Barbossa walked into the great hall and looked at Martin's Tapestry. It was an amazing thing. It almost seemed to be more beautiful than last time he visited. Nobeast knew he was there yet so he walked into the dormitories where he met his wife.

Lily

Not wanting to seem too suspicious, Lily waited a few moments before leaving the table in what she hoped was a surreptitious manner. Maybe, finally, she could get some answers as to what on Earth was going on.

She had passed the big room on the way to the dining hall, or whatever it was. She made her way back there now, and spotted the tapestry without any trouble. As she drew closer she grew more and more nervous. How should she start this conversation? Somehow, "Hi! I think I switched bodies with an otter and I think you might have too!" seemed so... blunt. Instead, she held out a hand. Paw. "My name's Lily."

OOC: Matthias, I meant to mention this before. Your comment about the walls being "twice the size of the ones on the Minecraft server version" cracked me up.  ;D

Also, d'oh, I was just about to post this when I realised there had been more replies. Er... is it OK if I do this, Tiria?

Lutra

OOC: Matthias, very sorry I thought the question was to Lily.  Well, considering I'm already in Cavern Hole, I guess you can take it as if Whitewater shrugged the question off and didn't want to answer it.  I'll reply later in the night, because I think I know how I can make up for that slip...trust me. ;)
