I decided to make a changing poll of which Redwall book is better. This is my first time doing a changing poll so I am not sure how well it will turn out. To me Salamandastron is better.

Cause you are the piece of me I wish I didn't need
Chasing relentlessly and I don't know why
If our love's tragedy why are you my remedy?
If our love's insanity why are you my clarity?
Why are you my clarity?

Granted any poll on opinion will have very polarized sides... ;)

I lean to Salamandastron, only because that's the book that turned me onto the series in middle school. Something about a badger in armor, standing in front of a massive, Kilimanjaro-esque mountain drew me in; Master Jacques' writing did the rest.
Someday you will find me, caught beneath the landslide...

Captain Tammo

THE LONG PATROL it was the greatest book in the series (next to the legend of Luke of course) because it was the story of what I call a "background character". What I mean by this is that Tammo, even though he was visited by Martin, he was simply a new recruit. He had no special powers or skills. He was simply an average character on an extraordinary journey, this made the story much better and realistic in my opinion.
"Cowards die a thousand times, a warrior only dies once. The spirits of all you have slain are watching you, Vilu Daskar, and they will rest in peace now that your time has come. You must die as you have lived, a coward to the last!" -Luke the warrior

Tam and Martin

I agree with you Captain Tammo. I like how Tammo (The Character) went through being a new recruit to a veteran of war. But, to me, I still think Salamandastron is better.

I can't say because it has been a long time since I read Salamandastron.

Poll change!

I choose Mariel of Redwall. The Bellmaker was a little boring...
