OOC:I am too I'll edit my post
OOC: Thank you- that's much better!

Liath was caught slightly off-guard by the otter's smile. It was friendly, but a little- odd. She managed to shake her head in answer to his question. She grumbled quietly. "Ah'm tryin' tae avoid notice of anybeast. Hmph. No' that it's workin', ye ken. Three strangers that have all of Mossflower tae wander aboot just happen across mah camp." Liath snorted, but could not stay annoyed for long in such friendly company.

"Doon't ye worry none aboot me fahndin' yer campsahte, Liath, Ah'm very good at sniffin' oot fahres.  Beasts call me Fahre fer a reason!"  Fire grinned again, his smile still a bit odd.

Liath merely nodded and finished the last flatcake. Then she gathered up her few supplies and shouldered her pack. "Ah feel Ah'm boond tae head Sooth. Ye don' have tae coom with, but ye're welcome to, as long as ye will nae make nuisances of yourselves." She paused and waited their responses.

Vannel and Bygro walked side to side straight North. It was a sad depature from the crew.

"South?" Marco asked, "Why south? Ain't heard much about it."
"Haven't. You haven't heard much about it." Polo corrected.
Marco sighed, "Haven't heard much about it." He turned to Polo, "Stop correcting me grammar for once!"
Polo smiled thinly, "My grammar." He said, "It's my grammar."

OOC: I'm really starting to like Polo.  ;D Grammar Nazi's for the win!  ;D ;D BTW, are there any other people playing slaves besides myself and Kitrall?  ??? It's really lonely in Redwall.

OOC: I have a slave. Zeire.

BIC: Tzarin held her tongue against her teeth as she flipped through the books. She was researching frantically for the whereabouts of Martin's sword. She sat back and sighed, she had learned a lot about the history of the abbey, and where Martin's sword had been hidden over the ages. She doubted it would be on the weathervane, but she would send someone up to check later. Right now the tomb would be the most logical area to check. Stupid mice and their recorders; they didn't let the wind blow without writing about it. She stood up from the desk and swept toward the library entrance, "Get slippery stuff and come to the stairs between the Great Hall and Cavern Hole." She ordered the two guards standing at attention, a rat and weasel. They exchanged confused glances but saluted. The followed Tzarin from the library and broke off to head into the kitchen. There was slippery stuff in there, as well as food they could nick. Tzarin strode down and up the stairs, running her paw over the engravings in the wall. Redwall, the name of her palace. She stopped with her paw on the 'W'. She dropped to her paws and knees and ran her paw at the hairline crack between the 'W' and 'D' stairs.

OOC:  I have a shrew slave named Donna, but I'm not sure what to do with her.

BIC:  Firefly smiled and laughed at Marco and Polo's argument.  At least he didn't have anyone to argue about his grammar!
"Och, ma'am," he said, "Ah was travelin' the same way!  Ah'd be honoured tae travel wi' ye."

As the two travelers entered the woods Misak shot a bolt into a tree
"Stop wasting your bolts dear" said Kaijo
"Oh be quiet Kaijo Helmos" Replied Misak "Do you remember that time when 'wasting bolts' saved your life?"
"We're not likely to meet a chameleon in Mossflower are we?"
"No but there might be some other camouflaged beastie for my accidental murder"
They kept on walking in silence, straight into Liath's camp
"In the meantime, no one should roam the camp alone. Use the buddy system."
"Understood." Will looked at Nico. "Will you be my buddy?"
"You're a dork," Nico announced.

Liath was about to reply when a lynx and a caracal walked into the camp. Giving Firefly a plaintive look, she threw up her paws in exasperation. "Och, no' another one! Is Mossflower really tha' small?"

Vurrp had been given a jar of oil and sent to the stairs between Cavern Hole and Great Hall. He stood, trembling faintly, in front of Lady Tzarin, holding the jar of oil. "Yurr et is, Lady. Would ee like summ help, marm?" he inquired meekly.

"Yes, spread the oil between the middle stair and the ones above and below. And coat the stair itself with the remainder." Tzarin commanded, not caring how odd the order sounded. She turned and strode down the stairs. She stood at the bottom and snapped to a napping foot soldier, "Get the strongest slaves and hordebeasts." She commanded, "As well as a brush and a plank of wood." The stoat woke with a start, saluted, and scurried to do her bidding.

OOC: I really don't want to be roleplaying all the hordebeasts. Will anyone make some?

KitrallStreamrippler

OOC: I haven't made actual characters for any yet, but I'm willing to play several anonymous "extra" hordebeasts. (I can do that, right? Play minor characters without making a sheet?)

OOC: All right. Thanks!

BIC: Putting oil on the steps was a difficult business for an old beast such as Vurrp, but the mole had learned long ago not to complain. The rule to life as a slave at Redwall was this: Keep quiet and take what you're given.

Liath composed herself and looked back to the newcomers. "Hello. Mah name's Liath. This-" she gestured to each beast in turn "-is Marco, Polo, an' Firefly. Can ah be o' service to ye?"

OOC: Oops! Sorry for the double post... There was one here, though. WONWILL posted saying that I could play anonymous hordebeasts. Confusion!!!  ???

OOC: I remember that post too

Kaijo bowed to Liath
"My name is Kaijo Helmos and this is my wife Misak"
Misak waved
"In the meantime, no one should roam the camp alone. Use the buddy system."
"Understood." Will looked at Nico. "Will you be my buddy?"

OOC: Good, I'm not hallucinating. That's happened to me more than once... (The post thing, not hallucinating. That's never happened to me.)

Liath nodded to Kaijo and Misak, then replied, "Nice tae meet ye. We're actually aboot tae head Sooth. Well, me an' Fire. Ah'm no' sure aboot the other two."
