"That's right. Everyone here has been affected in some way or another by those ruthless humans," she said, her voice edged with grief. "So, has anything else happened today at the abbey, Skarlath?"
"Get him! Grab that spy! I want his head!"
Basil chuckled. "What's the matter? Isn't your own head good enough? No, I don't suppose it is. Ugly-looking brute, aren't you?" -Basil to Cluny the Scourge (Redwall)

"The second you change "I can't" into "why not", you can do anything in the world."

Scarleth hesitated, "Hmm, Windred caught the biggest pike I've ever seen. It'll feed us for days. Several dibbuns got lost in the woods, but we found them. Other than that, not much has happened." He answered, pulling away a rock, "Ah, here's the tunnel, looks like the torches went out. Hello, anyone in there?" He called, peering into the darkness, "Ah, I'll go see who's in the shelter, wonder what the damage is." He muttered as he stepped into the dark tunnel.

Ridge glared at the other man wishing he knew just who it was.

"I have given you an offer to do this without bloodshed, I don't even know who it is I'm surrendering too. However these people here." Ridge gestured at the crash survivors being escorted away.

"They are under my charge, what will happen too them?"

Calvin who was hidden next too Stashi touched her lightly shaking his head furiously.
"No, the blade will not be capable of penetrating the armor." He whispered, you'll just get us all killed wait, we have to trust Captain Armstrong on this one."

"They will be brought back to Earth," The Captain replied. "None of them will be harmed in any way."

"And as for who we are," The Captain continued, "I'll explain that after you surrender."

Stashi's face twitched slightly as she sheathed the daggers, "If I threw it hard enough..." She muttered to herself, "How long will this take, human? What'll he do?" She whispered, barely able to be heard.

"Alright. Do you need any help in there, Scarleth?" Spero said, peering into the dark tunnel.
"Get him! Grab that spy! I want his head!"
Basil chuckled. "What's the matter? Isn't your own head good enough? No, I don't suppose it is. Ugly-looking brute, aren't you?" -Basil to Cluny the Scourge (Redwall)

"A little light would be helpful. Solar, get down 'ere!" He called. A hare sprang forward, creating a small ball of light in his paws. They began walking down the path, with Scarleth calling behind him, "Anyone else want to come? I'll need help if there's any injured creatures."

"Wait, what are you doing?" asked Mystery frantically, skittering forward and nearly tripping over one of her extensions. "You all, I think there's something you should know." Her heart feeling as if it was being pressed down with pain, she said, "There are six human spaceships landed in Mossflower Woods as we speak. We must do something, and you know what humans are like. They are powerful almost beyond belief."

The five-headed adder was not dead. During its drop, it had been lost in view when it reached the tree line and crashed through the foliage, breaking the fall but still leaving it injured. The snake was lying on the ground, but now that it was no longer stunned, it resumed its hunt.

Scarleth sighed, shaking his head, "Right now, we need to focus on helping the injured and fixing any damage that has been done. As long as the humans don't come any closer, we're fine. We'll set some guards up, keep an eye on them, but we have our own problems." He said, stepping into Great Hall. The damage was surprisingly little for how big the crash had been. The walls were cracked and furniture was scattered around everywhere. Creatures lay injured on the ground, and a few of them were dead.

Mystery nodded, a bit abashed. She followed Scarleth into Great Hall and walked around the room with an expression of surprise and sorrow. She turned towards the Redwallers. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

"Why Is it my surrender is so necessary, if you wish to help and get these people off this planet I will be more then happy to surrender and leave with you. I have no desire to stay here." Ridge handed his weapons over keeping the tranquilizer hidden under his jacket.

With a tiny hand signal he ordered Calvin to remain hidden knowing he may be his only life line if things went sour.

"How can I help captain, I want to see what's left of my charges get safely onboard your ship." Ridge asked.

                            -----------------------------------------

Calvin noticed the signal pulling back further into the bushes.

"I don't know but Ridge wants me out here and not up there. I think they will pack up and leave so for now we'll just watch. Calvin whispered to Stashi carefully and quietly pulling away from the site.

"Do you have anywhere we can sit low for a while, and hold out if need be?" He asked her as they drew out of view of the landed spacecraft.

With Ridge begind him, the Captain walked back toward the nearest dropship, giving the thumb's up signal to his men.

The three ships began to lift off the ground, carrying their passengers to the Magnanimous.

Stashi thought, "Well, I do know of a safe place where... no, not safe for you, they'd kill you." She said, "Maybe the place you were at... but I'd rather not. How about your ship? Would we be safe there?" She asked. She glanced in the direction of the Abbey, wondering if they were safe and what damage had been done to the shelter.

Scarleth sighed, leaning against the wall, "We need creatures to help with the injured and burying the dead. We need the walls fixed and things to be cleaned up again. Windred, check the food storage. Mystery, could you help me clear the area,  I'll see if any of this is still usable. Ash, try and get a fire going, we need light." He called, turning a table right side up.

Spero sighed as she looked around at the destruction. "I can go find some herbs for bandages," she offered, unfolding her wings. "How many do you think are hurt?" She asked.
"Get him! Grab that spy! I want his head!"
Basil chuckled. "What's the matter? Isn't your own head good enough? No, I don't suppose it is. Ugly-looking brute, aren't you?" -Basil to Cluny the Scourge (Redwall)

"I'm sorry; I'll get to that," Mystery said, turning her head to the side. She walked over to an overturned table to start. The extensions that ran down from between her ears served as two extra arms, only not as strong. She found them useful as she picked up the furniture in the room and fixed up the area.
